Miolica on red earthenware. Aprox 23" across and a bit over 20 lbs.
Officially the biggest thing I've ever thrown! The assignment was to do a self portrait on a large patter. I chose an art nouveau-ish style for my decoration. For those who aren't familiar with miolica glazes, it is basically a white base coat with stains painted on top and it all fuses together in the kiln.
