So I like, NEVER post journals unless i'm tagged or something. I also rarely read journals unless they happen to catch my eye or I'm avidly following a certain artist. ANYWAY, I need an opinion on something art related, and who better to ask than my friends on DA?
Some of you might know that I started my first year of college at Sheridan, and I'm currently in art fundementals (more or less a portfolio building course). Well, its that fun time of year again ... course application time! yay! My original plan (like 50% of art fundies students) was to reapply to animation this winter, but now that I've tested the waters a little bit, I realize that there are more choices that might suit me better than animation. Don't get me wrong tho, I might still apply to animation anyway, just to see if I'd actually improved enough to get in. My biggest worry about animation was that i hadn't improved enough to get in anyway.
So, anyway, I've realized that I love working in 3D more than I do 2D, and I am also fairly close to my 3D teacher Susan. She put the inkling in my head that I might enjoy something like Advanced Movie Make-up, Props, and Prostetics instead. The more I think about it, the more I think that she is right. I am very much into film, and I find myself always impressed with the make-up and special affects of anything I see. I can definitely see myself having a blast designing make-up and props for movies or theater. Plus, it would make halloween all the better for me!
But, unfortunately, the choices don't stop there. The make-up course requires me to have a degree first, which means I would have to transfer courses for a couple years. I could do a year in Visual and Creative Arts, which is another course like Art Fundies, which means I would be working in almost every media under the sun. Or I could do a couple more years in one of the school's many Crafts and Design courses (ceramics, glass, fabric or furniture). Going the crafts and design course (specifically ceramics) would better prepare me for working 3D exclusively, but I would be in school much longer, which means much more loans from OSAP. I like working in various media, but I'm not sure which course would leave me better prepared for Advanced Make-up...
So this is where I would like an opinion from anyone who reads this. Animation or Advanced Make-up? And, if Advanced Make-up, Ceramics or Visual and Creative?

My English is very bad, sorry...
Hay hombres que luchan un día y son buenos. Hay otros que luchan un año y son mejores. Hay quienes luchan muchos años y son buenos. Pero hay los que luchan toda la vida. Esos son imprescindibles.
